Rebirth

Future Imperfecta, 2016

Mulan Gallery, Singapore

Intrigued by the cyclical nature of living & leaving, coming & going, demise & transfiguration, Rebirth takes the idea of ‘beginning’ and plays with the Biblical narrative of Adam and Eve. The perversion is a metaphor for the ambiguity of beginnings and ends. It is in this obscurity that creates opportunities for new narratives and outcomes. Through evolution, there is no knowing when the end is the beginning or vice versa. Beauty lends itself to the ambiguity that eventually manifests itself in various permutations through time.

Rebirth was part of Future Imperfect, an inaugural printmaking exhibition by the pioneer batch from the Printmaking Mentorship programme.
